Previous prime minister Imran Khan attended senior journalist Arshad Sharif’s funeral in absentia in Lahore News channel reported.
The killing of the senior journalist made headlines on Monday. As his widow took to Twitter and confirm his killing in Kenya. His funeral held at Faisal Mosque and he laid to rest at the H-11 graveyard in Islamabad.
Apparently, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman was under force from within the party to contribute in the funeral of Arshad Sharif.
The report mentioned sources as saying the prime minister directed by someone not to abstain from showing up at a funder and nearing a dead body. The insiders added that the PTI chief could place the funeral in absentia.
Imran Khan not seen at the funeral of his long-term partner Naeem-ul-Haq and nuclear scientist Dr Abdul Qadir Khan. Arshad Sharif played vital in the promotion and broadcast of Imran Khan’s ideology.
Imran Khan visited the residence of Arshad Sharif to share the grief of the left family afterward the sad story came into the spotlight.
