In Multan, Abrar Ahmed took a wicket in his first over after which he continued to send the English players back to the pavilion.
He continued to cause trouble for the English batsmen in the first session, dismissing England’s opening five in just 13 overs.
Abrar continued to trouble the English batsmen even after the lunch break and took the sixth and seventh wickets for Pakistan.
Abrar Ahmed became the first Pakistani spinner to take 5 wickets on the first day of a Test debut. After which he also improved his record by taking the sixth and seventh wickets.
Apart from this, Abrar Ahmed is also the first bowler to take 5 wickets before the lunch break. Abrar also became the 22nd bowler in the world to take 7 or more wickets on debut.
Earlier, Mohammad Zahid also took 7 wickets in one innings of the debut Test.
