PML-N’s no-confidence motion against Punjab CM & Speaker. In order to prevent the possible move of the former Prime Minister and Chairman PTI to dissolve the Punjab Assembly on December 23, the members of the Provincial Assembly of PML-N has signed a no-confidence motion against Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Parvez Elahi and Speaker Punjab Assembly Sabtain Khan.
According to the reports, the decision to sign the no-confidence motion against the Punjab Chief Minister and Speaker Punjab Assembly taken after the instructions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Who meet the party leaders at his residence in Model Town area of Lahore.
In the meeting presided over by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, apart from the discussion on the no-confidence motion against the Punjab Chief Minister. It was also considered to approach the governor to take a vote of confidence from him.

During the meeting, Special Assistant on Interior Attaullah Tarar informs the PML-N that in view of Imran Khan’s announcement to dissolve the Assembly on Friday. The motion of no confidence will submitted in the coming week.
Earlier, members of PML-N gathered at the residence of Provincial Assembly Rana Mashhood and PML-N’s no-confidence motion against Punjab CM & Speaker signed.
Information Secretary PML-N Punjab Uzma Bukhari says that ‘On the instructions of the party leadership, the required number of members of the Provincial Assembly signed the motion of no confidence against the Chief Minister Punjab and Speaker Punjab Assembly, Imran Khan next Friday Punjab Assembly announced the dissolution. We will submit a no-confidence motion in the assembly before that.”
He says that no-confidence motion is not the only option, but we are also ready to take vote of confidence from Governor Punjab, Chief Minister Punjab.
