Sarfaraz Ahmed wins another honor. Former national cricket team captain Sarfaraz Ahmed became the highest run-scoring Pakistani wicket-keeper batsman in Test cricket.

Sarfaraz has achieved this honor in the Karachi Test being played against New Zealand.

The former Pakistan captain plays an innings of 86 runs in the first innings of the Karachi Test against New Zealand.

Former captain Sarfraz Ahmed has so far scored 2743 runs in 50 matches in Test cricket, including 3 centuries and 19 fifties.

Earlier this honor was held by Kamran Akmal, he had scored 2648 runs while representing Pakistan in 53 Test matches. This time Sarfaraz Ahmed wins another honor.

This list also includes Moin Khan, Imtiaz Ahmed and Rashid Latif.

Sarfaraz was named Pakistan’s Twenty20 International captain after the 2016 ICC World T20 in India. He was named Pakistan’s ODI captain on 9 February 2017 after Azhar Ali resigned.

He took over the Test captaincy for his team after the retirement of Misbah-ul-Haq, becoming the 32nd Test captain of the Pakistan cricket team to do so.

Under his captaincy, Pakistan won the Champions Trophy in June 2017. In March 2018, on Pakistan Day, Sarfraz became the youngest cricketer to be awarded the Sitara-e-Imtiaz.
