Pakistan military officer sues Adil Raja for defamation. A senior Pakistani military officer files a defamation and damages case in the London High Court. Against a UK-based YouTuber and retired army officer for running a defamatory campaign on YouTube and Twitter.

He is accused of involvement in election rigging against PTI. Alao horse-trading for General (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa. Holding secret meetings with PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari to manipulate the by-elections of Punjab.

In the UK’s High Court, the unprecedented defamation action by any serving Pakistani military officer has brought. Who is currently serving in Punjab against Major (Rtd) Adil Raja.

According to court papers, Major (Rtd) Raja launches his campaign against the serving army brigadier on June 14, 2022. When he alleges in a tweet, the senior army officer”takes full control of the Lahore High Court” to rig the upcoming elections.

On 19 June 2022, Major (retd) Raja alleges that “the sector commander had several meetings with Zardari during his current stay in Lahore.”

Court papers also show that the serving army brigadier filed the suit through his UK lawyers on August 11, 2022, after the retired major made several allegations against the senior army officer in tweets and videos that goes viral. Which receives thousands of retweets, likes and opinions.

Defendant Major (Rtd) Raja confirms to media: “A serving army brigadier has filed a defamation case against me.”

He also accuses the serving Army Brigadier of meeting Zardari to secure maximum seats in Punjab to help Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

In his defamation suit, the senior army officer denies every allegation leveled against him. He also tell the court that his reputation is severely damage. He is likely to suffer more in the future.

The claimant challenges every broadcast of Major (Rtd) Raja is fake, baseless. There is no justification for publishing such news.

Major (retd) Raja tell media that his tweets and blogs are based on information “provided by high sources in the Pakistani establishment”.

Pakistan military officer sues Adil Raja for defamation. In response he says it is unfortunate that the claimant files a case “against his fellow officer and countryman on foreign soil”.

Major (retd) Raja also claims that his broadcast are done in the “public interest”. He also keeps journalistic code of conduct in mind.
