The American magazine ‘Rolling Stone’ described him as an icon of the kingdom of Qawwali. Praised his family legacy spanning centuries and used the words ‘Emperor of Qawwali’ to introduce Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali.
According to the magazine, Nusrat Fateh Ali won the hearts of people all over the world with his unparalleled singing. Especially his recordings and performances for Peter Gabriel’s ‘Real World Label’ in the 80s.
According to the American magazine, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s famous fans included famous singer Madonna. While Eddie Vedder sang ‘Dead Man Walking‘ with her.
