The PTI demanded an election date after the ‘immoral, illegal’ acceptance of resignations.
Soon after National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf’s decision to accept the resignation of 35 more Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNAs, party leaders termed the move as “illegal” and “immoral”.
While talking to the media outside the Parliament House, senior PTI leaders said that by accepting the resignations of 35 more PTI lawmakers today, the speaker retracted from his old stance.
Former National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser condemned the decision. He said that Raja Ashraf had called the PTI leaders to the assembly. During that meeting the members were informed by Raja Ashraf that the resignations would not be accepted without personal verification.
Fawad Chaudhry Criticized the speaker’s decision. PTI Senior Vice President Fawad Chaudhry mentioned that total 81 resignations are accepted. He demanded that the government must also give a date for the general elections now.
Fawad Chaudhry Expressed his displeasure over the decision. The PTI leader blamed the federal government for the political and economic crises in the country.
