Ministry of Energy claims to restore all grid stations

The Ministry of Energy claims to have restored all the grid stations after power suspended for several hours due to a major power breakdown across the country.

Yesterday morning due to the breakdown, power supply suspended in many cities of the country including Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. Which is still being fully restore.

In a tweet by the Ministry of Energy, it said that ‘all 1,112 grid stations across the country have restored within 24 hours’.

Spokesman Electrician Imran Rana says that ‘power supply from the power transmission system is progressing towards improvement. The process of power restoration in different areas of Karachi has progressed gradually’.

He says in his tweet that ‘electricity has restored in the areas connected to Orangi Town, Qayyumabad and Queen’s Road. Including Baldia, Gulistan Johar, Gulshan, Clifton’.

According to the tweet, “Electricity restored in various areas of Airport, Azizabad, Civic Center, Defence, Ghazri, FB area, Gulshan, Jacob Line, Korangi, Landhi.

Spokesman K Electric further said that ‘Electrification of strategic installations is among the priorities. NTDC is in constant communication with the authorities for full restoration of power from the National Grid’.

Regarding the process of power restoration in Islamabad. The spokesperson of ISCO says that the power restoration work started on the affected feeders in the ISCO region.

According to ISCO spokesperson, power has restored to all affected feeders due to breakdown in ISCO region. All feeders are running at normal load.

Regarding the process of electricity restoration in Lahore, LESCO informs that ‘electricity has restored in most of the areas of LESCO region. However, the process is going on fast’.
