Pakistan’s famous singer and actress Komal Rizvi speaks openly about divorce in her recent interview.
While giving an interview in a podcast on YouTube, she says that her ex-husband was a psychopath. Who tortured her many times during their 4-year marriage.
Actress Komal Rizvi says in response to a question that in our culture, girls are given golden dreams of marriage from the beginning. Due to which a girl tries 200% to make her marriage successful in any way.

The singer Komal Rizvi complains about the society and says that no one tells the girls limit after which they should raise their voice against the atrocities on them.
In our society girls are advice to stay in marriage and bear all the hardships to make it work. As it is only a woman responsibility to make a relationship successful. But marriage only works when both partners work for it. Our elders specially mothers portray a successful marriage in a wrong way.
They only convey the message to young girls and their daughters that her marriage worked only because of her. The man contribution is never highlighted and acknowledged. Which in returns completely portray a wrong perception of a marriage.
Komal Rizvi further states that she also did not know about this limit. And it takes 4 years to know about this limit. If I had known earlier, I would have divorced and separated in just 6 months. 3.5 years of my life would been saved. .
Expressing her satisfaction with her decision, she says, “I am happy that I get divorced, but the only regret is that it happened late.”
