China’s famous banker Bao Fan gone missing, after which people in the finance industry are worried.
Bao Fen is one of China’s most high-profile investment bankers. He is famous for overseeing the merger of tech giants Didi and Meituan.
China Renaissance Holdings Ltd. said in a filing to the Hong Kong stock exchange on Thursday. That the firm had been unable to reach the billionaire investment banker.
Caixin also reported that China Renaissance president Cong Lin has been under investigation by authorities for months.
According to foreign media, Bao Fan’s company says that they have not been in contact with the banker.

Bao Fan is among the most prominent deal makers in China’s tech scene, having overseen tie-ups between ride-hailing giants Didi and Kuaidi and food delivery platforms Meituan and Dianping. Bao, who began his career as an M&A banker with Morgan Stanley, founded China Renaissance in 2005.
