Pakistan: Shaban moon sighted. The Ruet-i-Hilal Committee has publicized that the Shaban-ul-Moazzam moon sighted in the country.
The crescent seen in Pakistan today (Tuesday), marking the start of the 8th month of the Islamic calendar.
Moon of Shaban sighted in other areas including Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, and Peshawar.
The Ruet-i-Hilal Committee declared that the first Shaban will fall on February 22, Wednesday. The central moon sighting committee confirmed collecting signs and witnesses for the crescent.
Shab-e-Barat, the holiest night between the 14th (March 7) and 15th of Shaban, observed across the country to seek forgiveness from Allah.
Superior religious meetings held throughout the country and people will also visit graveyards to say prayers at the graves of their loved ones.

Muslims across the world observe the night of the 15th Shaban with religious essence. As they offer nawafil in mosques, making special prayers.
The Zonal Committee’s meeting directed by Secretary Auqaf Punjab Dr. Tahir Raza Bukhari although other committee members and representatives of Met Office attended the meeting.
