Famous TV, film and stage actor Muhammad Qavi Khan passed away at the age of 80.
Actor was suffering from cancer and was staying with his children in Canada for some time for treatment. Qavi Khan was born in Peshawar in 1942. He has shown the essence of his art in TV, theaters, films and radio.
The government also nominated him for the biggest award of Pakistan “Nishan-e-Pakistan” this year. Apart from this he honored with Lifetime Achievement Award by Radio and Pakistan Television.
Actor worked in dramas like Lakhon Mein Tein, Alif Noon, Andhera Ujala, Angaar Wadi, Ashiana, also acted in films like Tiger Gang, Mati Ke Putle, Society Girl, Begum Jaan, Sarfroosh. He was being treated at a hospital in Van, Canada.
Son Adnan confirms his father’s death in a conversation with Geo News. And said that he was suffering from liver cancer. His funeral prayer and other details will announced later.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his sorrow over his death and prayed for the forgiveness of the deceased and patience for the family members and said that Qavi Khan shows his performance on film, TV, stage and radio.

He further said that Qavi Khan’s performance in Lakhon main tein and Andhera Ujala is still alive in the minds of the people.
His death is an irreparable loss to the art sector of Pakistan. About Qavi Khan, actor Sohail Ahmed says that I left him to the airport to go to Canada. He was like a father to me. I have not seen a self-sufficient man like him.
