Pakistan cricket captain Babar Azam set two national records in the second match of the series against Australia.
Babar Azam batted in pursuit of the target of 349 runs given by Australia and made his 15th century which he also celebrated in full.
With this century, Babar Azam has become the highest-scoring Pakistani captain in ODI format, this is his fourth century as a captain. Before him, Azhar Ali was the captain who scored the most centuries. While leading the team, he scored 3 centuries.
Not only that, but Babar Azam has also become the first Pakistani captain to score a century against Australia. Before him, the highest score of the Australian Pakistani captain was 82 runs which was made by Imran Khan in 1990.
On the other hand, Babar Azam, thanks to his century, is joint second in the list of players who have scored the most centuries for Pakistan.
Prominent batsman Saeed Anwar holds the record for most centuries scored by Pakistan. He has scored 100 or more runs 20 times. Along with Babar Azam, Muhammad Yousuf is second with 15 centuries.
