Bollywood’s versatile actress Taapsee Pannu says that people living in Bollywood and the rest of the world have very different ways of meeting each other.
She said in an interview that actors do not give each other any gifts while attending birthday or Diwali celebrations.
Taapsee specifically talked about attending superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s birthday party.

She was asked what gift did you give to Shah Rukh Khan? In response, says Taapsee, what will someone give? What can one give to Shah Rukh Khan?
The actress said that no one gives anything, they are very stingy type people.
She further explains that she thought what can you give someone who has everything. “Toh mera toh dimag nahi chal raha (I couldn’t think of anything).”
When the hostess suggested that she could give him a book, Taapsee said, “I know, but what kind of books? I don’t know.
At this point you might be thinking that whatever gift I give him, he’ll like it and say thanks. But if he doesn’t like it, he can judge me for it. They might think that she gets those kinds of gifts so you’re just out there, so you don’t gift anything for fear of that. So I got nothing,” she said.
Taapsee Pannu says that lately, she has been bringing gifts for Diwali parties but since no one gets anything, she feels very left out with the “dabba” around her.
So, she decided to leave it in her car and gave it to the host just as she was about to leave.
