Pakistan condemns desecration of Quran in Denmark. On Monday another “abhorrent” act of desecration of the Holy Quran in Denmark. Calling it the manifestation of growing hatred and Islamophobia.
On Friday, Paludan replicated the stunt in front of a mosque as well as the Turkish Embassy in Copenhagen and vowed to continue every Friday until Sweden is admitted into NATO.
“The repeat of such wilful and vile acts is a troubling manifestation of growing hatred, racism and phobia against Muslims and their faith.” Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said in a message.
She claimed that the repeat of such knowing acts puts into doubt the strength of the legal system. Which allows Islamophobia to operate unknown and promote hatred without effect.
She argued that exercising one’s freedom of expression not used as a cover to purposefully disparage religious figures or the Holy Books.
The spokesperson urged all states to set up legal check in accord with their cause under international human rights law in order to prevent and defend such defence.
