The name of Justice (R) Maqbool Baqir is being considered by the United Opposition for the caretaker Prime Minister.
According to Express News, the united opposition fears that if the name is not given by the opposition, the government will take a unilateral decision which is not acceptable.
An important meeting on the issue has been convened by the PDM in Islamabad today, which will be chaired by Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
The current political situation will be discussed at the meeting, and future political strategy will also be discussed.
The private news agency claims that the meeting of the PDM will consider whether to name the caretaker Prime Minister by the opposition or not.
The meeting of the PDM will consider the consultation with the PPP in this regard.
It should be noted that the name of Justice R Maqbool Baqir is being considered for the caretaker Prime Minister in the united opposition.
It is possible that the opposition will give a single name because there is a fear that if the name is not given by the opposition then the government will make a unilateral decision and appoint a caretaker Prime Minister.
It may be recalled that earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan had suggested the name of the recently retired Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Gulzar Ahmed, on whom the PML-N was raising objections.
