‘PTI protest’ images aren’t real. During a court appearance in Islamabad on May 9, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) detained former Prime Minister Imran Khan on suspicion of corruption.
Violent clashes between police and protesters broke out in Pakistani cities shortly after his dramatic arrest.

Following Khan’s arrest, a fictitious image of a Pakistani woman allegedly resisting police forces went viral.
This image is a fabrication. Using artificial intelligence (AI), it was produced.

An AI-generated image and two out-of-context videos were exposed as being used as images from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) nationwide protests in support of former Prime Minister Imran Khan in the French TV network’s well-known fact-checking program, Truth or Fake.
The photo was not taken by a cameraman or photographer, as determined by France24. Instead, it was produced using artificial intelligence.
