Gwadar declared Tax-Free Zone. On Saturday, the Baluchistan government made a significant declaration designating Gwadar as a “Tax-Free Zone.” It refers to the area where property and transfer taxes, as well as services and excise taxes, won’t be enforced.
Senator Kauda Babar, a senator from the Gwadar district, praised the provincial government’s choice and said it was indicative of progress.
The senator emphasized that citizens should receive relief and that the federal government should lower taxes.
The revitalization of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor will be a tax-free zone. The choice will encourage port activities and expand investment and revenue opportunities.

Kauda Babar added that the tax-free zones were the only reason why Dubai and Singapore had made progress.
The choice, if made, has the potential to lead to significant development and an investment hub.
