Govt: Subsidies for flood-affected farmers. According to News on Thursday, the Sindh government announced subsidies on urea and fertilizers for farmers affected by the recent floods in an effort to lessen their financial burden.
Details state that the Sindh government will give flood-affected farmers urea and di-ammonium phosphate (DAP) fertilizer worth Rs 60,000.
According to Manzoor Wassan, the leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), 234,313 farmers will receive fertilizer subsidies.
According to the PPP leader, farmers who own between one and one and a half acres of land will be eligible to receive the subsidy amount. A second phase of the subsidy program is also in progress and will pay farmers Rs 5,000 per acre.
Farmers will be able to continue their agricultural endeavors and make up for their losses with the aid of subsidies on urea and fertilizers.
