No Intentions To Join Politics: Shahid Afridi

Former Lahore national cricket team captain Shahid Afridi says he has no intention of entering politics.

News has been circulating on social media about Shahid Afridi for several days that he is about to enter the field of politics and will also run in the next elections on behalf of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.

Talking to media in this regard, he said that “he has no intention to enter politics”.

He said that he would just like to say that whoever comes in the government should be allowed to complete five years and then on the basis of this five year performance the government should go to the people next time to ask for votes.

He added that “the law should be the same for everyone, young and old.” “It’s not right to make laws of your own accord and break them at will,” he said.

Shahid Afridi added that “those who were non-Muslims became Muslims because they liked the way Muslims were treated fairly.”

Criticizing the injustices taking place in his country, he said, “Today, Pakistan’s judiciary is ranked 130th in the world, so it is important to think about the quality of justice in our country.”
