Due to the cyclone, rain expected in Karachi, Thatta, Badin and Sajawal from today.
The Meteorological Department says that dusty wind may prevail in Karachi today, there is a chance of rain with thunder in the afternoon or evening.
Cyclone Buparjoy further reduced its distance from Karachi and Thatta, recording a distance of 530 km before 12 pm.
Evacuation of people from the coastal belt, including Thatta, Badin and Sajawal, has intensified, and the shifting of affected families to relief camps is also underway.
The water level also started rising in the coastal settlements of Chashma Goth and Ibrahim Hydari of Karachi.
The Meteorological Department says that under the influence of Cyclone Biparjoy, the weather is likely to remain humid and hot in Karachi today, however, dusty wind may blow in the city today and there is also a possibility of rain with thunder in the afternoon or evening.

The mercury reached 32 degrees Celsius in Karachi this morning.
The maximum temperature is likely to be between 37 and 39 degrees Celsius in Shahr-i-Quaid.
According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature in Karachi has been recorded at 30.5 degrees Celsius.
The Meteorological Department has also reported that the city has recorded 58% humidity.
