Former SC judge Qazi Amin Ahmed dies

Former SC judge Qazi Amin Ahmed dies. Justice (retired) Qazi Muhammad Amin Ahmed, a former justice of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, passed away on Wednesday, according to News.

According to family members, the former judge passed away after having a heart attack. His funeral prayers said today at 6:00 pm in Chakwal.

On March 25, 2022, the jurist left the Pakistan Supreme Court. On September 24, 2019, he promoted to the Supreme Court after chosen by President Arif Alvi.

In Chakwal, Qazi Muhammad Amin Ahmed was born on March 26, 1957. He finished his early education at the Government Degree College in Chakwal and the Government High School.

He graduated from the University Law College with a law degree in 1980, and in 1981 he enrolled as an advocate.

In 1985, he enrolled in a doctoral program at the University of Amsterdam in public international law and finished ancillary courses. At the Institute of Social Studies in The Hague in international law and international relations.

In 1986, Qazi Amin Ahmed began practicing law. And in 1997, he registered as a Supreme Court of Pakistan Advocate. From 1986 to 1991, he served as a visiting faculty member. At the International Islamic University in Islamabad.

From 2000 to 2004, he remained a member of the Punjab Bar Council. And from September 2007 to June 2009, he was an Additional Advocate General for Punjab.

On November 7, 2014, Qazi Amin Ahmed elevated to the position of judge of the Lahore High Court.On April 24, 2019, he sworn in as a judge of Pakistan’s Supreme Court.
