The appointment will be effective from September 17, 2023 with the retirement of Justice Umar Ata Bandial.
President Dr. Alvi has appointed Justice Qazi Faez Isa as the Chief Justice under Article 175 A3 of the Constitution.
President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi will take the oath of office of the Chief Justice of Pakistan on September 17, 2023 from Justice Qazi Faez Isa.
