According to the police, the former federal minister apprehended in Sector F-8 of Islamabad in accordance with Section 3 of the Maintenance of Public Order (3MPO) Act.
The arrest of Shehryar Afridi coincides with the ongoing campaign against the party’s leadership, activists, and supporters in relation to the violent protests on May 9.
The police in Punjab also detained Fayyaz-ul-Hasan Chohan on Murree Road in Liaquat Bagh.
