Firdous Ashiq Awan quits PTI over May 9 mayhem

Firdous Ashiq Awan quits PTI over May 9 mayhem. The nightmare for PTI continues as Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan, a former SAPM to Imran Khan for Information and Broadcasting, announced his resignation from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf on Friday due to the chaos on May 9.

Firdous Ashiq Awan strongly denounced the attacks on military installations while speaking at a press conference at the Islamabad Press Club. He also demanded that those responsible for the riots face strict punishment.

The former SAPM stated that the state is more sacred than politics and that he entered politics for a national cause. According to Ms. Awan, Zaman Park planned the May 9 conspiracy in order to appease the “foreign handlers.”

Imran Khan and Pakistan cannot advance together, she continued.

Firouds Ashiq Awan attacked Imran Khan, the PTI leader, and former prime minister, saying that he “uses” others for his own benefit.

She vowed to keep participating in politics and promised not to let down the voters in his electoral district.

Salman Ahmad, a well-known singer and close ally of Imran Khan, the leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), denounced the violence on May 9 earlier in the day.

Salman Ahmad claimed that the events of May 9 and Imran Khan’s subsequent arrest by the NAB in connection with the Al-Qadir Trust corruption case hurt him. Additionally, he demanded that those responsible for the chaos on May 9 punished in accordance with the law of the land.

Murad Raas quits PTI

Following a strong condemnation of the May 9 vandalism, in which rioters set fire to military installations, public buildings, and private residences, over two dozen PTI leaders, workers, and ticket holders left the party. Mussarat Cheema, the Information Punjab Secretary for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), and her husband Jamshed Iqbal Cheema left the party and politics earlier Thursday night.
