A 90-year-old man in Saudi Arabia has become the country’s oldest groom by marrying for the fifth time.
Nasir bin Dahaim bin Wahaq al-Murshidi al-Otaibi has unexpectedly become the center of media attention as he celebrated his fifth wedding in Afif province.
Some videos are circulating on social media in which people are congratulating an elderly man on his marriage.
In a viral video, his grandson can be seen congratulating his grandfather on his 5th marriage. And wishing him a happy married life.
Al-Otaibi gave an interview to the Arab media and said, ‘I want to get married again! Married life is an act of faith and a source of pride in the presence of the Lord of the Worlds.
“This practice brings peace and worldly prosperity, and has been the secret of my good health,” he said.
He further said that ‘I request those young people who hesitate to get married to adopt this practice for the sake of protecting their religion and leading a fulfilling life’.
Frther explaining the benefits of marriage, Al-Otaibi said, “I am happy to get married at this age. It brings physical comfort therefore old age does not stop me from getting married.”
“My children now have children and I still want to have more children,” he concluded.
According to Arab media reports, Al-Otaibi is the father of 5 children and one of his children has died.
