Govind Parashar, the president of the radical organization Rashtriya Hindu Parishan Bharat, announced the reward. The group asserted that by portraying Lord Shiva’s messenger, the actor offended Hindu sentiment.
In Agra, the extremist group set fire to the movie posters and the actor’s effigy.
In the movie, Akshay Kumar’s character consumes kachoris while taking a bath in soiled water. The Bollywood star, according to Parashar, damaged the diety’s reputation.
The Indian government and censor board were urged by Rashtriya Hindu Parishan Bharat to outlaw the movie. They issued a caution that they would keep protesting the movie.
The lead actors in “OMG 2,” the follow-up to 2012’s “OMG: Oh my God,” are Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi, and Yami Gautam.
