Answering to a question concerning meeting of the US Ambassador Donald Blome with Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sikandar Sultan Raja.
He said “United States does not take any position with respect to the outcome of an election in Pakistan.”
We don’t back any particular candidate or political party in Pakistan.

However, as we do everywhere else, we naturally call for free and transparent elections in Pakistan, he added.
In response to a different query, Matthew Miller stated that the US is in favor of Pakistani economic reforms.
