Pakistan strongly condemns Holy Quran desecration. The public burning of the Holy Quran outside a mosque in Sweden on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha strongly condemned by Pakistan on Thursday.
The foreign office issued a statement saying that. “Such deliberate incitement to discrimination, hatred, and violence cannot be justified under the pretext of freedom of expression and protest.”
The FO issued a statement that said, “Under international law, States obligated to prohibit any advocacy of religious hatred, leading to incitement of violence.”
The statement went on to say that the legal framework that. Permits such hate-based actions seriously called into question in light of the recent recurrence of such Islamophobic incidents in the West.
It continued, “We reiterate that the freedom of expression and opinion does not grant a license to incite hatred and thwart interfaith harmony.

The FO stated that Sweden informed of Pakistan’s concerns regarding the incident and once again urged the international community and national governments to take credible and practical steps to stop the escalating incidents of xenophobia, Islamophobia, and anti-Muslim hatred.
