Shaukat Zaidi was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Lahore for some time due to kidney disease.
Apart from acting, he was also involved in the field of journalism from 1970 to 1998.
Apart from writing fiction and ghazals as a writer, he also wrote for theater for 10 years.
