The Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina Wajid, has won for the fifth time in the general elections held yesterday.
An international media report quoted the spokesperson of the Election Commission of Bangladesh as saying that the ruling party of Sheikh Hasina Wajid Awami League has won the elections.
According to the report, the voting rate in the general elections held yesterday in Bangladesh was 50 percent less than the previous general elections.
The report states that the voting percentage was 80% in 2018 and only 40% in the current elections.

According to the report, the reason for the decrease in voting percentage was the boycott of the election by the largest opposition party Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP).
The report noted that a large number of voters in Bangladesh supported the opposition’s boycott campaign, which drew attention to a major crackdown by the government before the elections.
