PTI withdrew its petition for the return of the ‘bat’

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf PTI withdrew its petition from the Supreme Court to return the election symbol of bat.

Barrister Gohar Khan while talking to the media outside the Supreme Court said that today we had an application in the Supreme Court but we have withdrawn our application.

He said that our case was in Peshawar High Court and the decision will come in our favor from there.

The PTI leader said that the order will come from the Peshawar High Court before 11 am today.

Dismissed on grounds of withdrawal of PTI’s application

The Supreme Court dismissed as PTI withdrew its petition.

A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa conducted the hearing.

The Supreme Court said that Tehreek-e-Insaaf’s application is dismissed on the basis of withdrawal, no lawyer of PTI objected to the withdrawal of the application.

At the beginning of the hearing, Barrister Gauhar said that PTI was withdrawing its application.

The Chief Justice of Pakistan asked that where is Hamid Khan?

Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa asked Barrister Gohar, who are you?

Barrister Gauhar said that I am the lawyer of the petitioner.

The Chief Justice of Pakistan said that Mr. Hamid Khan said the day before yesterday that he is a lawyer.

Hamid Khan said that our case is currently in the Peshawar High Court.

The Chief Justice asked Hamid Khan that you did not stand up, tell me that you are not a lawyer in this case?

Hamid Khan replied that no, I am not a lawyer in this case.

The Chief Justice said that if someone comes tomorrow and claims that we did not withdraw the application, then what? Where is Ali Zafar, he has no objection to withdrawing the application?

Hamid Khan said that no, Ali Zafar has no objection, he is currently Peshawar High Court.

PTI had challenged the Peshawar High Court order in the Supreme Court.
