Babar Azam back as Pakistan’s white-ball captain

Pakistan Cricket Board has appointed Babar Azam as the captain of the white-ball men’s team.

Pakistan Cricket Board made Babar Azam the white-ball captain of the national cricket team once again.

According to PCB, Babar Azam will lead the T20 and ODI teams.

Before him, Shaheen Afridi was the captain of the team in the T20 format.

Babar Azam has represented Pakistan in 52 Tests, 117 ODIs and 109 T20Is.

How did Babar Azam leave the captaincy in the past?

After the poor performance of the green shirts in the World Cup 2023, Babar Azam resigned from the captaincy of all formats, after which Shaheen Shah Afridi was appointed as the captain of the team in the T20 and Shan Masood in the Test format, while for the ODI. No captain was announced.
