On the occasion of a hearing on intra-court appeals against NAB amendments, Imran Khan appeared in the Supreme Court through a video link.
A larger bench of the Supreme Court is hearing the appeals of the federal and provincial governments against the NAB amendments.
Headed by Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa, Justice Aminuddin, Justice Jamal Mandukhel, Justice Athar Manullah, and Justice Hasan Azhar Rizvi are part of the bench.
Founder PTI had requested to appear in person in the NAB amendment case, on which the larger bench of the Supreme Court allowed the appearance of founder PTI through video link.
Commencement of hearing
At the beginning of the hearing, the Chief Justice asked whether the video link was established, Mr. Attorney General?
The Attorney General replied that the G-Video link is established.
The Chief Justice directed Makhdoom Ali Khan to give arguments in a loud voice.

The lawyer of the federal government said that the issue of NAB amendments is pending in the Islamabad High Court.
Justice Athar Manullah asked whether the petition pending in the High Court was approved for hearing.
Lawyer Makhdoom Ali Khan said that it was declared admissible.
The Chief Justice said that the complete record of the case against the NAB amendments should be ordered from the Islamabad High Court.
In the court, the Chief Justice told Khawaja Haris that you were the lawyer in the original case, and it was disappointing that you did not come, we would also like to hear your stand.
The Chief Justice asked when the application against the NAB amendments was filed in the Islamabad High Court.
Makhdoom Ali Khan said that the application was filed in the Islamabad High Court on July 4, 2022, the application with the Supreme Court was numbered on July 6, 2022, and the application was heard in the Supreme Court on July 19, 2022.
The Chief Justice asked Makhdoom Ali Khan why the case of NAB amendments took so long, did you want to prolong the case?
Lawyer Makhdoom Ali Khan said that other than me, many lawyers had given arguments, we wanted the case to end soon, and while declaring the NAB amendments null and void, the facts were not properly evaluated.
A decision could not be made regarding the live broadcast of court proceedings
On the other hand, the sources say that the decision regarding the live broadcast of the court proceedings will be taken by a 5-member larger bench.
It should be remembered that the 3-member bench of the Supreme Court declared the NAB amendments null and void, after which the federal and provincial governments filed intra-court appeals against it.
Earlier, arrangements for the PTI founder’s appearance in the Supreme Court today via video link were completed in Adiala Jail, Rawalpindi.
According to the prison sources, the management of Adiala Jail informed the PTI founder about the attendance through a video link.
Sources say that the video link was also tested before the PTI founder’s appearance.
According to jail sources yesterday, lawyer Khawaja Haris and Intar Panjutha also had a brief meeting with the PTI founder in the jail.
