Shannen Doherty, best known for her roles on the wildly popular series “Beverly Hills, 90210” and the witchcraft fantasy “Charmed,” died after being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015. She was 53 years old.
“It is with a heavy heart that I confirm the passing of actress, Shannen Doherty,” Doherty’s publicist Leslie Sloane said in a statement. ”
On Saturday, July 13, she lost her battle with cancer after battling the disease for many years. The devoted daughter, sister, aunt, and friend were surrounded by loved ones as well as her dog Bowie. The family asks for their privacy at this time so they can grieve in peace.
