Newly elected Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz will take oath today

LAHORE: Newly elected Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz will be sworn in today.

Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjarani will come to Lahore to take oath from the newly elected Chief Minister.

The newly elected Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz will be sworn in today at 4 pm.

Sources said that there has been communication between the federal and Punjab governments on this issue after which the newly elected Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz will be sworn in at 4 pm today.

According to sources, the Prime Minister’s House advised the Chairman Senate to take oath as Chief Minister.

According to sources, Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjarani will come to Lahore to take oath from the newly elected Chief Minister for which preparations have been started for the swearing in ceremony at the Governor House.

According to media reports, a petition was heard in the Lahore High Court against Hamza Shahbaz for not taking oath in which Advocate General Punjab Ahmed Owais appeared before the court.

Advocate General Punjab told the court that he had a meeting with the Governor of Punjab.

I want to put the reasons before the court. The Speaker is bound to take oath with the Governor.

The Speaker has not been made a party in the petition of Hamza Shahbaz.

The Governor is not a rubber stamp.

The Chief Justice asked the Advocate General if there was any justification for not taking oath by the Governor of Punjab?

The President said that he could not take oath from the Prime Minister, he was ill.

On which the Advocate General of Punjab said that the Governor of Punjab felt that the election of the Chief Minister was not in accordance with the law and the Constitution
