LAHORE: Flour mill operators on Friday jacked up the cost of flour in Punjab after the closure of the arrangement of wheat on the government’s share.
The 20-kilogramme flour pack is being sold at Rs1300 in Punjab, said Chairman Pakistan Flour Plants Affiliations, Asim Raza.
The later increment has been made due to the buy of wheat from the open advertise, Raza said and included that the flour plants are not being given with the government’s quantity wheat.
Taking after the increment in flour cost, the rate of roti may too go up within the province.

The removed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government had settled the cost of 20 kg flour at Rs 1,100 by giving wheat to flour plants at Rs 1,950 which was acquired at Rs 1,800.
