Petrol Price Increased by Rs.14.85

The federal government has once again increased the price of petroleum products by Rs 14.85 per liter.

“In view of fluctuations in the prices of petroleum products in the international market and changes in the exchange rate, the government has decided to impose a partial levy on petroleum products,” the finance ministry said in a statement.

“The government has decided to change the current prices of petroleum products as per the decision reached with the partners,” the statement said.

The new prices of petroleum products will come into effect from July 1, the finance ministry said.

The government has increased the partial levy on petrol by Rs.10 to Rs14.85, after which the new price of petrol will be Rs248.74 per liter.

The price of high speed diesel has been increased by Rs 13.23 paisa including Rs. 5 levy and the new price per liter will be Rs 276.54 paisa.

Kerosene has also been increased by Rs 18.83 including partial levy of Rs 5 and the new price will be Rs 230.26 per liter.

The light diesel has been increased by a partial levy of Rs 5 to Rs 18.68 and the new price of light diesel will be Rs 226.15.

According to the announcement of the federal government, the new prices of petroleum products will be applicable from July 1, 2022.
