Showbiz celebrities reaction on selection of CM Punjab

The Punjab Assembly held an election for the Chief Minister of Punjab on July 22, in which Hamza Shahbaz of the Pakistan Muslim League (N) was re-elected as the Chief Minister.

In the Chief Minister election, Hamza Shehbaz got 179 votes while Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Muslim League (Q) candidate Pervaiz Elahi got 186 votes.

However, the Deputy Speaker of the Provincial Assembly, Dost Mohammad Mazari, rejected all 10 votes of the (Q) League out of the votes received by Pervaiz Elahi as per the decision of the Supreme Court, after which Hamza Shahbaz was elected as the Chief Minister of Punjab with a margin of 3 votes.

Where citizens expressed their opinion on the same situation in the Punjab Assembly, showbiz personalities also reacted and most of the personalities expressed their surprise at the victory of Hamza Shahbaz.

Actress Mawra Hussain in her short tweet expressed regret calling the Chief Minister elections a circus.

Actress Aiman Khan shared TV footage of the Chief Minister’s election, terming it another bad day for the country, and prayed for the country’s safety from thieves and looters.

Actor and singer Farhan Saeed also expressed his regret on the election of the Chief Minister and wrote that it is not a matter of supporting any political party but of rejecting the opinion of the nation. He further wrote that PDM’s Alliance will destroy Punjab.

Actress Iffat Omar expressed a unique reaction and wrote that the game that started with a fake conspiracy letter ended today with a real letter. She congratulated Maryam Nawaz on the victory of Hamza Shahbaz.

She made another short tweet that ‘Aik Zardari sab pe bhari’. in another tweet , in another tweet she made a funny comment that ‘Meri party,meri marzi, Shujaat Hussain.

Playwright Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar briefly tweeted that “Pakistani Awam tumharay vote ki 2 takay ki value nahi’.

Actress Maya Ali also reacted and wrote that “Done with the justice and done with the system. Looters can’t be Leaders”.
