Second Test: Sri Lanka bowled out for 378 in the first innings

Sri Lanka team was bowled out for 378 runs in the first innings of the second Test match against Pakistan.

On the first day of the second Test of the series being played in Galle, Sri Lanka resumed their first innings incomplete at 315 for 6, with Nirushan Dakwila and Donith Velage at the wicket.

Pakistan did not have to wait long for a wicket in the morning on the second day and Naseem Shah walked Velagay to hand Sri Lanka their seventh loss.

Dakwila completed his half-century but after playing an innings of 51 runs, he also gave away the wicket of Naseem Shah.

Sri Lanka’s last two wickets were taken by Yasir Shah but earlier these two wickets added a valuable 45 runs to ensure his team’s access to a good score.

Sri Lanka scored 378 runs in the first innings, for Pakistan Naseem Shah and Yasir Shah took 3, 3 while Mohammad Nawaz took 2 wickets.

The start of Pakistan’s innings was disastrous and on the second ball, Abdullah Shafiq, the hero of the previous match, became the victim of Asitha Fernando ball without scoring any runs.

When the lunch break took place on the second day of the match, Pakistan had scored 15 runs for the loss of one wicket and Imam-ul-Haq was at the wicket along with captain Babar Azam.

It should be remembered that Pakistan won the first Test match and took a 0-1 lead in the series.
