KARACHI: British Airways has decided to continue direct flights from London to Islamabad from August 2, News reported on Monday.
British Airways will have to pay aeronautical charges to the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) under an contract. The permission letter allotted by the PCAA specified that the airline will be bound to follow the assigned flight routes.
British Airways will not be allowed to bring military or spying equipment in its flights, although, the airline’s administration will have to give prior information to the concerned authorities in Pakistan concerning the cancelled and postponed flights.
It is appropriate to mention here that the airline had temporarily postponed its flight operations to Islamabad two months ago.
Back in February this year, British Airways suspended direct flights between Lahore and London Heathrow on completion of the extent of the agreement.
Permitting to Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) spokesperson, The UK-based airline had suspended Lahore-London flights due to some operational reasons.
