Broadcasting of Imran Khan’s speech has been banned.
According to the details, PEMRA has banned the live coverage of former Prime Minister and Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan’s address.
In this regard, the notification issued by PEMRA has referred to Imran Khan’s speech on August 20 at F9 Park Islamabad.
According to PEMRA, Imran Khan is constantly making baseless accusations against institutions in his speeches.
Imran Khan is spreading hatred in his speeches, disturbing public peace, inciting against institutions and their officers.
Imran Khan’s speeches are a violation of Article 19 of the Constitution.
His hate speech is also a violation of the Supreme Court’s Somoto case decision.
According to the PEMRA notification, only Imran Khan’s recorded speech will be allowed to be broadcast, the speech can be broadcast with effective monitoring and editorial control.
Action has been taken against Imran Khan under Section 27 of PEMRA Ordinance 2002.
Action will be taken against the institutions violating the PEMRA guidelines.
It should be noted that earlier Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah had also given a warning about Imran Khan.

He said that those who instigate mutiny in the army will not be allowed to escape from the law.
