Pakistan beat Hong Kong in Asia Cup 2022. Pakistan set 194-run target while batting first beside Hong Kong in the knockout game of Asia Cup 2022 at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Friday.
From the Pakistani side, Mohammad Rizwan continued the top scorer with 78 runs (not out). Fakhar Zaman scored 53 runs and Khushdil Shah 35 runs (not out). Hong Kong bowlers didn’t show an up to the spot performance as they could pick only two wickets.
Formerly, Hong Kong won the toss and selected to field first. The winner in today’s match will book a place in the Super Four Stage of the Asia Cup 2022.
This will be the first match amongst the two teams in the shortest format.
Babar Azam-led squad and Nizakat Khan’s team will have to fight with full force to succeed for the next round as the losing team will be out of the tournament.
Both sides are now facing each other after suffering downfall from India in their group matches.
The Asia Cup 2022 includes two groups, featuring six teams from the Asia region. Pakistan, India and Hong Kong are in the Group A whereas Afghanistan is in Group B along with Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

From Group B, Afghanistan and Bangladesh have qualified for the Super Four Stage although India is the first from Group A to book a place in the next round.
