A rare penumbral lunar eclipse will also seen in Pakistan tonight

Tonight, the first and rare penumbral lunar eclipse of this year will be visible in most parts of southern and eastern Europe, Asia, including Pakistan.

According to the Meteorological Department, the lunar eclipse will begin at 8:14 PM Pakistan time, peak at 10:22 PM and end at 12:32 PM on May 6.

The Meteorological Department says the eclipse will be visible in southern and eastern Europe, most of Asia, as well as Australia, Africa, the Pacific, Atlantic, Indian Ocean and Antarctica.

Director Institute of Space Science Dr. Javed Iqbal The lunar eclipse visible tonight is penumbral, that is, during which the moon’s brightness dims.

They say that during a penumbral eclipse, the moon is 10 percent less bright than usual and is usually difficult to observe.
