Afghan Interim govt delegation reaches Islamabad.
The senior delegation of the Afghan Interim Government reached Islamabad. The delegation is led by senior Afghan Taliban leaders and the governor of Kandahar.
According to the sources, the delegation of the Afghan Interim Government consists of 9 to 10 members, which includes the Afghan Ministry of Defence, Information and Intelligence officials.
Sources say that the delegation will hold bilateral talks with Pakistani officials during the visit. The talks will take place at the joint meeting of the Pak-Afghan Joint Coordination Council, which will be held in Islamabad tomorrow.
In this regard, sources further say that reduction of Pak-Afghan tension will be discussed in the meeting and other meetings.
The Afghan delegation will also meet Pakistan’s Special Representative for Afghanistan Asif Durrani tomorrow.
