Albania’s former prime minister punched in face during anti-govt march. Albania’s former prime minister Sali Berisha was punched while leading an anti-government protest rally in the capital Tirana.
The first EU-Balkans summit is underway in the country, outside which opposition supporters have gathered to protest.

Berisha was taking a rally with his workers to participate in the main protest when Albania’s former prime minister punched in face during anti-govt march.
As Berisha, who leads the centre-right Democratic Party, walked in front of her supporters waving Albanian and EU flags. A man approaches him and punch his in the face. Bresha had blood on her face but was later scheduled to speak at the rally. The attacker was beaten up by Bresha supporters and arrested by the police.
As the punch left the opposition leader’s face bleeding, the assailant was surrounded by his supporters and beaten and arrested by the police.
It should note that Berisha has been the president and prime minister of Albania. He is ban from entering the United States due to corruption charges. He denies the charges.
