He has requested the police commissioner to file an FIR against Aamir Khan, film director Advaita Chandan and production house Paramount Pictures under sections 153, 153A, 298 and 505 of the Indian Penal Code.
In his petition, the man took the stand that the film Lal Singh Chaddha showed that a mentally challenged person was allowed to join the Indian Army.
It said that everyone knows that only highly trained people are recruited into the army and deployed at the front, but the makers of the film deliberately showed this situation to defame the army and demoralize it.
Citing a scene from the film on religious discourse, the advocate wrote in his plea that Chaddha (Aamir Khan) is seen saying, “My mother says this pooja pat is malaria, it causes riots.”
The petitioner said that the kind of scenes shown in the film are not only inflaming emotions but also causing outrage among the followers of Hindu religion.
