According to Pentagon spokesman Major General Pat Ryder, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin hosted Army Chief General Asim Munir at the Pentagon.
During the meeting, the two officials discussed the latest developments related to regional security.
US officials say that possible areas of bilateral defense cooperation were also discussed.
It should be noted that this is the first visit of General Asim Munir as Army Chief to America.
