Arrest warrant suspended, Imran Khan got relief

Baluchistan High Court gave relief to Imran Khan while suspending his arrest warrant for two weeks.

The Balochistan High Court gave this decision on Friday. A case registered against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan in Quetta. The arrest warrant issued by the local court in the case has suspended for two weeks.

This suspension took place during the arrival of the Quetta Police team to Lahore to arrest Imran Khan.

Justice Zaheeruddin Kakar heard the petition. The petition filled by Iqbal Shah of Insaf Lawyers Forum on behalf of the PTI chief. Petition was to cancel the arrest warrant.

The petition stated that the offense was not committed within the jurisdiction of Bijli police station. Where the case is filed so the court requested to quash the FIR.

While suspending the warrant, Justice Kakar also issued summons to Balochistan Police Chief, SP Legal and Station House Officer of Bijli Police Station.

After the decision the hearing of the case adjourned for two weeks.

Quetta police reached Lahore to arrest Imran Khan

A day ago, a local court in Quetta issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against the PTI chief in a case registered under several provisions of the Pakistan Penal Code and the Electronic Crimes Act, 2016 .
