According to details, Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf and former Prime Minister Imran Khan has severely criticized the federal government of Muslim League-N and its allies regarding its economic performance.
Imran Khan says that on March 8, when the no-confidence motion against his government was presented, the inflation rate in the country was 16.5% at that time, which has reached the level of 38% today.
Imran Khan termed the present government as a group of crooks and incompetents and asked who is responsible for this mess?
It should be noted here that yesterday the statistics agency released the inflation rate data in the country.
The inflation report of the Federal Bureau of Statistics stated that the inflation rate in the country increased by 3.68 percent during the recent week, the prices of 30 essential items increased.
Among the items which have increased in price, the price of tomato has increased by 11 rupees per kg, dal masoor by 12 rupees, dal mash by 9 rupees 34 paisa per kg, dal chana by 5 rupees 30 paisa & dal moong by 3 rupees per kg.
The price of two and a half kg tin of ghee has increased by Rs 25 to Rs 1426.
Similarly, an increase of 5 rupees 42 paisa in the price of garlic per kg, 28 paisa in the price of potato per kg, 56 paisa in the price of milk per kg, 29 paisa in the price of sugar per kg and 3.45 rupees in the price of mutton was recorded.
The report further stated that per unit of electricity has become expensive by Rs.1.88.
While the prices of onions, flour bags, eggs and bananas per dozen have decreased, the price of onion has been recorded at Rs 19 per kg and the price of eggs has been recorded at Rs 30 per dozen.
